PRIVACY NOTICE
All registered training organisation are required to collect and report AVETMISS data from all students. Wise Driving School is a registered training organisation. This privacy notice advises students that their data may be supplied to and used by governments and other agencies for administration and research.
Under the Data Provision Requirements 2012, Wise Driving School is required to collect personal information about you and to disclose that personal information to the National Centre for Vocational Education Research Ltd (NCVER).
Your personal information (including the personal information contained on this enrolment form and your training activity data) may be used or disclosed by Wise Driving School for statistical, regulatory and research purposes. Wise Driving School may disclose your personal information for these purposes to third parties, including:
• Schools– if you are a secondary student undertaking VET, including a school-based apprenticeship or traineeship;
• Employers (with your written consent);
• Commonwealth and State or Territory government departments and authorised agencies;
• NCVER;
• Organisations conducting student surveys (with your written consent).
Personal information disclosed to NCVER may be used or disclosed for the following purposes:
• Issuing statements of attainment or qualifications, and populating authenticated VET transcripts;
• Facilitating statistics and research relating to education, including surveys;
• Understanding how the VET market operates, for policy, workforce planning and consumer information; and
• Administering VET, including programme administration, regulation, monitoring and evaluation.
You may receive an NCVER student survey which may be administered by an NCVER employee, agent or third party contractor. You may opt out of the survey at the time of being contacted.
NCVER will collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the VET Data Policy and all NCVER policies and protocols (including those published on NCVER’s website at www.ncver.edu.au).
UNIQUE STUDENT IDENTIFIER (USI)
This is not required is student is only doing the heavy vehicle licence only which is just under RMS, where it is a competency based assessment under HVCBA.
USI is required for VET Courses only:
Before commencing any nationally recognised course offered by Wise Driving School, each student will need to provide a USI. Each student enrolled from 1 January 2017 will require a verified USI as per the AVETMISS reporting requirements. Wise Driving School will only issue a qualification, record of result and statement of attainment to a student if there is a verified USI against the student’s file. Fee Schedule For All courses offered:
All courses offered by Wise Driving School requires the student to place a $100 deposit upon booking of the nominated course. This deposit will go towards the training course and is not refundable. (refer to refund section below)
The full course fee is payable at the time of enrolment which is usually at the beginning at commencement date unless otherwise it is agreed to be paid by invoicing to the company. Course fees are specified in the course information sheet. Course fees may change at any time due to additional services being offered or promotional specials. Students are not entitled to refunds as a result of this varying in course prices.
For Machinery courses only (Excavator and Bobcat):-
All Participants should note that lost Statements of Attainment can be replaced, the fee for this is $55 (includes GST) chargeable which will require the participant to advise their name and produce photo ID when picking up the replacement certificate. Due to identification requirements replacement certificates cannot be posted or emailed.

For machinery course:-
For all machinery courses offered by Wise Driving School, there are training and assessment on both theory and practical components set out as per the course information details.
The duration of each course can vary depends on the individual’s experiences and background. Refer to the duration agreed as per specified for each course details. If extra training is needed, then it is charged by daily rate. The rates for extra charges are subject to change without notice. Student can refer to the enrolment form or the course information sheet for current rates.
On Site training for machinery courses:-
All on site training where our trainer and assessor attends the customer site to conduct training and assessment are details in writing by email agreed between both parties. This includes agreement in duration , cost and extra charges where extra days of training is required. If retraining and retesting is required then it is also agreed in the email. If the agreed number of students is being booked via email agreement then this total cost is chargeable.
For All Truck licence training:-
All Truck licence training courses are 1 – 2 day course duration as per course details and agreement upon enrolment. If training exceeds 1 day (or if it exceeds the agreed enrolment details) then extra charges will apply for hourly training on as request need basis. Extra hourly rate charges are subject to change without notice. Student can refer to the enrolment form or course information sheet for current rates.
Delivery modes :-
Trucks Licence training:- Courses are delivered 1 on 1 with our qualified instructor and assessor where training is done using our trucks provided. (unless otherwise arranged and agreed with the student and Wise Driving School).
Machinery training:- courses are delivered in class rooms and in our warehouse/ soil ground where pallets and dirt piles are available for load movements and machine driving training practise.
Oral/Speaking Assessment:- (only applicable to machinery training)
For Forklift, Excavator and bobcat courses, the theory assessment can be done via oral/Speaking test whereby the student speaks the answers and the assessor writes on his/her behalf.
No intrepreter is allowed for any theory assessment.
Course Extensions
For machinery courses only: :-
Course extension is only applicable to all machinery courses (including Forklift, Excavator and bobcat)
All the machinery courses have an expiry date, whereby students must complete the course within 2 months otherwise, extension can be granted at an agreed fee. Refer to enrolment form for the current rates.
Course Cancellation and RefundsWise Driving School is committed to fair and transparent application of fees and charges as well as the processing of refunds where applicable. It is a requirement and your responsibility that you understand the terms and conditions of the course before enrolling.
All students must declare they have fully read and understood the terms and conditions of the course as well as the student handbook before completing enrolment process. Any refund request will be reviewed by the training manager and cases will be individually assessed.
Refunds shall not be issued in the following circumstances:

All courses can be deferred whereby training can be done at an agreed later date with written email notice of future agreed date. (where cancellation of the course is not allowed.)

- The student changes their mind once course has been enrolled and commenced training.
- The student enrolled and commenced training and finds the course too difficult.
- The student enrolled and commenced training and no longer requires the course.
- The student enrolled and commenced training and student’s employment status changes and not requiring the course.
- The student enrolled and commenced training and student’s personal circumstances changes including financial position, family health issues
- The student finds the course at a lower cost elsewhere. This is treated as a change of mind
- The student has failed to complete the course within the designated period.
Refunds will only be granted in the following circumstances:-
- If student has enrolled and not started the course then $100 is chargeable or deposit will be forfeited and balance of the course is refundable.
- If the student is enrolled in the course and full payment has been paid and not started the course, for cooling off period we request student to provide 2 days written notice where full refund of the course is granted less the $100 deposit where if training materials has been given out, or if the student has not collected the course materials either by email or hard copy pickup, then full refund is granted.
- Discuss with your trainer about obtaining a refund. They should direct you to complete a refund application form.
- Only if approved by management will ask you to sign off on the refund register to confirm the approval.
- Refunds will be made via bank transfer to the nominated account within 14 business days.
