How to get your Forklift Licence in NSW

  2. Attend our theory and practical classes and study the materials.
  3. Sit the final forklift exam.

About
In order to obtain the forklift licence in NSW, participants need to successfully pass the SafeWork NSW assessment. This consists of 73 short answer questions and a practical driving component. As the NSW licence assessment is required to be conducted in English, participants should have a proficient level of understanding. If you think this may be an issue, please contact us to discuss.

Our forklift courses are designed for new or experienced drivers who wish to operate forklifts (class LF) in Australia.
Successful applicants of our forklift courses will receive a Nationaly Recognised  Statement of Attainment for the unit TLILIC0003 and will be eligible to obtain the NSW forklift licence (class LF) from Safework NSW.

Currently, Wise Driving School does not offer order picker (class LO) licensing.
Can I do the course online?
Parts of the course are available online but the final Safework NSW assessment needs to be conducted on paper.
Can I do the course in my own language?
Unfortunately the final exam needs to be done in English. This is a Safework NSW requirement. If you have problems writing in English, there is an option to do the speaking test. Consider applying for the Premium Course for extra support.
When will I get the licence?
On the same day after passing the final exam, you will receive temporary licence on which you can use immediately.
What do I need to do to pass?
The final exam contains 73 short answer theory questions (NOT MULTI-CHOICE) & a 5 step practical assessment. This assessment is mandated by Safework NSW and is used across all forklift schools in NSW.
